Food Empowerment
We are evolving from a charity model to one of empowerment and food security, including nutrition education to build healthy bodies, a community garden teaching gardening skills and best practices from planting to harvest, food preparation and the provision of hot meals. We positively communicate our respect for all participants and community involvement is encouraged.
Farm Fresh
This isn’t just any food pantry. Food pantries usually only have canned goods but because of how we are set up, we have partnered with local, fresh farms. This means fresh meat, fresh dairy, and fresh fruits and vegetables. We make sure you get a balanced and healthy diet. We believe that people are healthiest and happiest when they are making their own choices, meeting their own needs, and contributing to their communities.
Goals
Acquire 5 to 10 acres of land for facility, parking and community gardens.
Build a multi - functional facility 8,000 to 10,000 square feet. Provide food, clothing, furniture, hygiene, and other needed items. Open extended hours.
Create food security empowerment through education and provision.
